Makrofy ("we", "us", "the app") values your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect when you use our app and how we use it.
Account information: When you sign up, we store your email address and display name via Firebase Authentication. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive only the information you authorize.
Nutrition & meal data: The foods you log, calorie and macro targets, and meal history are stored in Firebase Firestore and linked to your account.
Photos: If you use the AI food scan feature, food photos are sent to our analysis service for nutritional estimation. Photos are processed in real time and are not stored permanently on our servers.
Motion & activity data: With your permission, we access your device's motion sensor (pedometer) to display your daily step count and estimated calories burned. This data stays on your device and is not uploaded.
Purchase information: Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed through the Apple App Store and managed by RevenueCat. We do not have access to your payment details (credit card, billing address, etc.).

Each service operates under its own privacy policy. No advertising SDKs or tracking frameworks are used.
Makrofy does not track you across other apps or websites. We do not use IDFA, fingerprinting, or any cross-app tracking technology.
Your data is stored securely on Firebase servers (Google Cloud). All network communication uses HTTPS encryption. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
You can delete your account at any time from the Profile section within the app. When you delete your account, all your personal data — including meal history, preferences, and profile information — is permanently removed from our servers.

Makrofy is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
